Nursing Traineeships for Advanced Education Grants are given to eligible institutions in order to increase the number of advanced practice nurses serving as primary care nurse practitioners or nurse midwives, with a focus on applicants who are prepared to meet the primary care needs of rural and underserved communities.
What exactly is an Advanced Education Nursing Traineeship?
The Advanced Education Nursing Traineeship program pays for traineeships for individuals enrolled in advanced nursing education programs. Individuals receive traineeships from participating educational institutions that offer master’s and doctoral degree programs, combined RN to master’s degree programs, post-nursing master’s certificate programs, or in the case of nurse practitioners, clinical nurse specialists, nurse midwives, nurse anesthetists, nurse educators, nurse administrators, or public health nurses.
Who is eligible for (AENT) Advanced Education Nursing Traineeships?
To be eligible for this benefit program, you must be a current or prospective student, a US national, citizen, or permanent resident, and pursuing a nursing degree.
